Merchant Payments in Nigeria — QR, Inventory & Sales for SMEs

Collect payments, track stock and see your sales — no POS hardware.

A small business needs three things from payments: the money to arrive, the record to be right, and the counter to keep moving. InspireMe Pay's merchant tools are built around those.

Customers pay by scanning your QR code, so you do not need a card terminal. Every sale is written into your records, and products you list by QR code keep your stock count in step with what you actually sold.

Your staff can be given their own access to collect payments, and an online store can be connected through a hosted checkout — all settling into the business wallet.

What merchants get

QR code collections

Display or print a QR code and let customers scan and pay straight from their wallet.

Product QR codes

Create a code per product so a scan records the sale against that item.

Inventory management

Keep product stock in the app and let sales update the count as they happen.

Sales reports

See what you sold, when, and how much came in — instead of reconstructing it from memory.

Staff access

Give employees their own access to collect payments without sharing your main account.

Online store checkout

Connect your online store to a hosted checkout page so web customers can pay too.

How it works

  1. 1Open a merchant store account and complete the business verification.
  2. 2Add your products and generate a QR code for the store and for individual items.
  3. 3Display the code at your counter, or print it for the shelf.
  4. 4Customers scan and pay, and the sale is recorded against the product automatically.
  5. 5Track the day's sales and stock levels from the merchant dashboard.

Why use InspireMe Pay for this

No POS hardware to buy — A printed or on-screen QR code replaces a card terminal at the counter.
Sales that record themselves — Every QR sale lands in your history and reports instead of a notebook.
Stock that matches reality — Product-linked sales update your inventory, so the count reflects what left the shelf.
Less cash on the premises — Fewer notes in the drawer, less risk walking to the bank at closing.
Staff you can trust with the till — Employees collect payments on their own access, while the account stays yours.
Sell online too — A hosted checkout lets your website's customers pay without asking for a transfer.

Frequently asked questions

How do I open a merchant account?

Apply for a merchant store from inside the app and complete the business verification, including the registration details requested for a merchant tier. Once approved, your store wallet, QR code and merchant tools become available.

Does a merchant need a POS terminal?

No. Collections are made by QR code, which you can display on a phone or print for the counter. Customers scan it and pay from their own InspireMe Pay wallet.

Can my staff collect payments?

Yes. Merchant accounts can give staff their own access to collect payments, so employees can serve customers without using your personal login. You control who has that access.

Can I track my products and stock?

Yes. Products are added to your store with their prices, and each can have its own QR code. A scan records the sale against that product and adjusts the stock level, and your sales reports show what has sold.

What does a merchant payment cost?

A processing fee and any applicable store tax are configured for merchant accounts, and the applicable charge is shown on the transaction. Your own store tax rate, where set, is displayed with your merchant settings.

Can I accept payments from my online store?

Yes. A hosted checkout can be connected to your online store so web customers pay through a checkout page rather than a manual transfer, and the payment settles into your merchant wallet.
